Colombia, South America has two beautiful coastlines along the Pacific Ocean and Caribbean Sea and its neighbors include Panama in Central America and Brazil and Ecuador in South America. Colombia is known for its spectacular landscapes because three chains of the Andes Mountains merge in Colombia. It also has tropical lowlands that are part of the Amazon Basin and grasslands that can be found in the Orinoco Basin. Through tremendous marketing efforts, many people think of growing coffee when they think of Colombia. Agri-tourists are often drawn to Colombia because, in addition to coffee, the country also exports bananas, cotton, and tobacco. Bogotá, its capital city, reflects the rich Spanish cultural heritage of Colombia which can be seen in the architecture, cathedrals, and museums as well as enjoyed at the restaurants. Colombia has a rich pre-Columbian history and culture because it was the site of the advanced Chibcha Indians who had a sophisticate civilization.
